Before we start this course, we will first look at what is covered during the training. The course is divided into categories, and within each category, you will find several videos. You can pause and watch again any of the videos on the course. We update our courses regularly, and you will be able to see any replacements and also any new videos as they are released. This may be an online course. If you have any questions during the course, you can contact us by phone, email, or use our online chat facility on any of our websites. You work through the course videos in order. And now we will give you an overview of what is contained in the course. In the first section, we will look at the first aid regulations and discuss the functions of the human body. We then look at the fears of first aid, scene safety, DRAB and the ABCDs, how to use face shields, initial assessment and the recovery position. We also cover respiration, breathing and pulse points. In cardiac arrest and CPR, we cover many different subjects, including adult CPR, drowning, compression-only CPR, improving compressions and breathing and effective CPR. Heart attack and stroke are also covered in the course, along with adult choking.

Bleeding control is another category included in the First Aid at Work course, demonstrating how to treat embedded objects in the body and how to deal with serious external bleeding. We also cover dealing with catastrophic bleeding control and the use of tourniquets and hemostatic dressings. In the final category of the course, we will inform you of subjects such as strains and sprains, splints, dislocated shoulders and joints, eye, chest and abdominal injuries. Heat and cold injuries and electrical injuries. We also cover asthma, epilepsy, bites and stings and other illnesses and injuries.
